We understand that relatives and even friends may like to visit whilst you are in York. From past experience most people who live in a city do not know the local hotels etc so we would like to recommend one.
The Judges Lodgings Hotel, in the city centre, just around the corner from Bettys is in our opinion well worth a look. A historic building with an excellent location just a few minutes from Betty's and the Minster. The hotel has 14 en-suite bedrooms, some with 4 posters and some with spa baths.
To help out visiting parents (who we appreciate are often paying the rent), we have agreed a discount with the hotel for anyone visiting our tenants.
We have arranged a 25% discount with a small publisher of practical books for new and trainee language teachers. They are an ideal source of practical ideas for lessons and available at just £10.95 from Blackwells and direct from the publisher's site. (£7.95 for yorkstudenthouses tenants)
